NFL Draft Days had the fortune of learning more about Springfield College all time sack and tackle for loss leader Max Nacewicz as he prepares for next months NFL Draft.
Name: Max Nacewicz
College: Springfield College
NFL Draft Days: What are your greatest strength as a player?
Max Nacewicz: My greatest strength as a player is my motor and my ability to get off blocks and make plays.
NFL Draft Days: What in your career, are you the most proud of?
Max Nacewicz: Being a 3x Captain. My school is very rich in tradition and being a captain is a huge honor. To date I am the only 3x captain in the schools history.
NFL Draft Days: How much time do you spend studying film?
Max Nacewicz: I pride myself in my preparation week in and week out. I will watch some film every day either with my coach or on my own breaking down my opponent.
NFL Draft Days: Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?
Max Nacewicz: My favorite player is Brian Cushing. He has separated himself and made himself an elite NFL player by outworking everyone.
NFL Draft Days: What are you doing to prepare for the NFL Draft?
Max Nacewicz: I am training at EXOS in phoenix AZ with some of the best prospects in this years draft. I've had the opportunity to compete with the best and its made me a better football player.
NFL Draft Days: Due to where you played collegiately, what extra challenges do you face in the draft process?
Max Nacewicz: Being from a small school you constantly get overlooked, so I've made sure i trained as hard as possibly could so when my opportunity comes I stand out and scouts don't even realize I'm from a d3 school.
NFL Draft Days: Who is the best player you played against in college?
Max Nacewicz: The best player I played against was offensive lineman Ali Marpet out of Hobart College.
NFL Draft Days: Did you play any other sports growing up?
Max Nacewicz: Growing up I played lacrosse and basketball along with football.
NFL Draft Days: What is something about you that people are surprised when they find out?
Max Nacewicz: When I tell people I don't drink alcohol because it is so prevalent in college
NFL Draft Days: Is there anything else you want our readers to know about you?
Max Nacewicz: How passionate I am about this game and what it has done for me. Football has brought me close to my family, given me lifelong friends and memories I will cherish forever. There is not a player out there who will outwork me or put in more time than me. What has gotten me this far has been my desire and constant sacrifices, and I will continue that as I move forward with my football career.
